What are wall murals?: Wall murals are large, scenic graphics applied to the wall much like wallpaper. They are printed on 80 pound wet-strength paper. Each mural consists of 8 panels, which makes them very easy for the do-it-yourselfer. FREE paste is included with every mural from Decor Place. What are the sizes?: Murals are printed in one size only. Each mural measures approximately 8' x 13' (244cm x 396cm).
Are wall murals durable?: Wall murals are printed on 80 lb. wet-strength paper. After printing they are finished with a light coat of varnish. They can be cleaned (but not scrubbed) with a wet sponge.

Are wall murals for the "do-it-yourselfer"?: Wall murals are easy to hang. All you need are basic wallcovering tools in a couple of hours you will have made an unbelievable transformation to your room. Each mural comes with detailed, easy-to-follow instructions and paste. What do I need to know before I begin hanging a wall mural?: It should be smooth, and free of irregularities. You should not use sizing or any other wall prep/primer unless you intend to use ready-mix clear adhesive available at most home centers or paint and wallcovering stores. The ideal surface is a wall painted with an inexpensive, flat latex paint. If you're unsure of your existing painted wall, we recommend 2 coats of flat latex. If the existing paint is a gloss or semi-gloss, use a medium grit sandpaper to roughen it. Please contact Environmental Graphics’ customer service department at 800-328-3869 with any questions.
What if my wall doesn't have a smooth surface?: If you have a textured wall, a wood-paneled wall, a wall made from cinder block, or any other rough surface, we recommend the installation of a "liner paper", followed by 2 coats of flat latex paint. A liner paper is simply a blank wallpaper which covers irregularities in the wall surface.
Will my wall be damaged when I remove a wall mural to redecorate?: The adhesive we include with each wall mural is a "dry-strippable" adhesive. Your wall will not be damaged. This makes wall murals an excellent choice for decorating apartments and dormitories.
Can I install a wall mural in a bathroom or other high-moisture area?: Yes, if certain precautions are taken. The installed wall mural must be coated with a water-based polyurethane (several light coats) to protect it from moisture. In addition, if you suspect moisture exists behind the wall, an adhesive containing a mildewcide should be used such as Golden Harvest, medium weight, ready-mix clear adhesive.
What if my wall is too small?: Wall murals from Environmental Graphics are trimmable. Murals can trimmed to fit around windows and doors.
